DS211 comes on randomly

My DS211 disks wake for a some time everytime I start up my home computer. I have a router and my home computer and DS are connected to the router. But everytime I access my home computer, the DS suddenly comes awake. I do not even have a drive mapped to my home computer, so even that possibility of "connect on login" is ruled out.

My DS 212 does something similar. It just wakes up randomly. I'm still trying to be sure I have it set up securely and installed mertymade's "current Connections" app so I could watch connections. I find that when it randomly wakes up curcon shows an external ip connected to a very high port; 45767 at this moment sometimes in the 35000's. The external address is mod note: external IP removed and I've set up a firewall rule in the DS to deny the address. I'm not sure why CurCon shows the connection and the DS connection list does not. I've now got a rule to block the IP and another rule to only allow my PC to connect but curcon still shows the connection when the DS wakes up. I suppose it could be waking up when the offending IP just "tries" to connect. It would be nice if the firewall kept a log of recent events.

Whenever the DS just wakes up on it's own I find the external site again. Very puzzling and annoying actually. I did not expect securing the DS to be so difficult.
