Hi,
Both applications look nice.

I would lean towards Owl because it allows for LDAP authentication and OpenDocMAn does not.

Since both are php applications, they can be downloaded and installed manually or made into spk applications.

Hi,
what about implementing an auto-shutdown to the Download Station - it would shutdown the box once or downloads are completed. I was requesting this feature to FreeRapid downloader http://wordrider.net/freerapid/ -- the author heard my plea and sent me a build the following day :)

I'm not expecting such fast implementation from you guys, but I would really appreciate this in some later DSM version. Many thanks and keep up the good work (the latest DSM 3.2 is superb!)

I would love a "Wake on Lan module" out of the box on the DSM.

I did develop my own php page to do so years ago but I use now the WOL module of my Buffalo (router with dd-wrt firmware). This one is greeeeeat. It lists all the available hosts (MAC address, IP, hostname) resulting from the DHCP requests I presume.

For each host, we can check a box to include it in the list of "wake-able" host.

There is also a WOL deamon to keep machines up and running during certain periods...

More info on http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/WOL

The DSM is already rich with features - many thanks Synology! :D

But I really mis a Version Control program like MS VSS (not the best example :-)
on my public folder of my NAS.

Second I really want a DsVideo app on my ipod.
I now use MLplayer by UPNP/DLNA for my mp4/m4v movies.
My view on the Synology system & Apple apps:
- Music (folder) -> DS Audio app
- Photo (folder) -> DS Photo(+)
- Video (folder) -> n.a. Why is this one missing :?: :(
- Surveilance (folder) -> DS Cam
- Folder Management -> Ds File
- NAS Management -> DS Finder
