Surveillance Station Live view not working!!!!

Blank Live View

I can see a thumbnail of the camera on the camera selection page. When I go to live view it loads then is blank. I can hear the audio. When I go full screen I can view the video. Any ideas?

I get an error code when I did some exploring noting that com.synology.MainApplet.class was not found.

Same issue here. Since the 3.1 update, the live view in the browser (any browser) doesn't work. I also get the "/surveillance/cgi/com.synology.MainApplet.class" not found error.

When I first launch Live View, I get the video for a few seconds then it goes away. If I use the iPhone/Android app DS Cam, I can view the video just fine. So it works, but fails shortly thereafter in a browser. Support was nice enough to try to resolve it, but they were unable to replicate the problem (different camera model). So they can't help further until someone can get them to see the issue on their end.

I have a DS107+, DS211+ both with the issue, and a TRENDnet IP-422W camera. Same results in MJPEG or MPEG4 mode.

Hi

So far everything seemed great with the new release!

However I noticed today that neither Live view nor Timeline are working on my Mac!

Works fine on my iPad and iPhone but on my Mac I get a little symbol saying Inactive plugin and nothing!!!!!

HELP PLEASE.

Tried from 3 different Macs.

Two give the same error the third won't even log in, even with EXACTLY the same credentials!!!!!!!!!

Well Live view does work from my iPad BUT Timeline does not.

I now have no way to view my camera's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Okay.

The problem seems to be linked to the fact I changed all my camera's to MPEG4 foolishly thinking the new DSM supports this on a Mac, which I believe it is supposed to!

I have reverted them all back back to MJPEG and now Firefox and Chrome both will work BUT not Safari.

It keeps showing the 'enhanced' viewer and the inactive plugging symbol.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

I have just updated to DSM 3.2 and find the same problem with Safari. All other growers work. I noted that the release notes state that a 32-bit version of Safari is supported, so I set Safari to 32-bit (in Get Info) but to no avail. When I look at the activity window I see http://192.168.1.105:5000/surveillance/ ... plet.class is giving a "not found" error - is this the problem?

Rather frustratingly Synology has stopped responding to requests for help on this issue!!!!!!!!!!!

We really need a 64 bit version to fix this ASAP. Not many Mac users are 32 bit these days.

I have the same problem. I cannot view my cameras from a mac.

The reason is because apple has not made a 32 bit version of java, so mac users can only run java in 64 bit. And sinology developers does not support this.

This is a no go....!

Any chance this will be sorted soon ?

I installed a synology DS111 at a clients workshop to record 2 cameras , yet his home machines are all mac's , i was under the impression Surveillance station works in safari , firefox , google chrome .

If i can't resolve this issue will have to change to another product like QNAP
