Use the RSS generated by photo station with Cooliris Express

Postby bilay » Mon May 31, 2010 10:49 pm

Hi all,

I'm currently using a synology CS407 with photo station 4.

I want to use the RSS feeds generated by photo station with cooliris express (wich is a tool allowing to embed some wall picture in a personal website and it can be feed by RSS).

The only problem is that I have to add a "crossdomain.xml" file at the root of the webserver (the photo station webserver).

I know how to access to my Syno with ssh and how to copy the "crossdomain.xml" anywhere in my Syno file but I don't know where I have to put this file.

Help me please !

Regards,

Anything new on this subject with the brand new DSM 3.0 ?

I'm still very interested by this feature.

The root of your webserver would probably be /var/services/web
You can put the xml file there.
The root of the photo folder is /var/services/photo

Try one of those places, and let us know if this works.

Good luck

Hi,

I just make some tests and unfortunately, it doesn't works.

As I haven't any personnal website in my syno, so I don't have any "web" folder in /var/services/

But I do have activate photostation so I have a "photo" folder in /var/services/. But when I put my crossdomain.xml file in it, it doesn't works.

Thanks for your help...

Hi Bilay:
Maybe you have to enable Web Station as well under "Control Panel/Web Services". This will create a "web" shared folder to store your personal web files. You could try then put crossdomain.xml there.
