I believe I may be having a similar issue to yours. I've been playing around with various settings and I've come to the conclusion that my issue lies with the DDNS settings I have through No-ip.com. Are you using a DDNS? I changed the host type to a Port 80 Redirect because I believe Cox was blocking port 80. This would mean that I wasn't able to log-in remotely without specifying port 5000 after the host name. The problem is that I think this prevents the DS Audio and DS Photo apps from connecting properly. If I use my DDNS hostname in the login it doesn't work. If I use my current external IP address (bypassing the DDNS service) it does work. Let me know if you are seeing something similar. I may try changing my host type back to a DNS Host (A) to see if this fixes the app login issue. If it does I'll have to decided between the following:
Port 80 redirect host type -
Ability to not specify ports when trying to access the Photo Station (Ie.
http://www.no-ipaddress.com/photo) and DS (Ie.
http://www.no-ipaddress.com)
But having to login to the iPhone apps using my external IP address
OR
DNS Host (A) host type -
Having to specify ports when trying to access the Photo Station (Ie.
http://www.no-ipaddress.com:8080/photo) and DS (Ie.
http://www.no-ipaddress.com:5000/)
But being able to easily login with the iPhone apps using my DDNS host name.
If anyone else has any other thoughts or suggestions though to resolve this issue please let me know.
