Whats the preferred choices? Suggestions?

Or even your experiences with these HDDs, not necessarily with the CS407.
But that is what will hold the drive eventually.

Hi!

Interestingly I'm searching for 2T HDDs for my good old CS407e as well.
Not sure whether the compatibility between HDDs and the CS407 and CS407e is similar.

Btw I already updated to the DSM3.1, just to be on the safe side.
I was thinking of a Samsung 204UI (with new Firmware), but I cannot find suggestions in the forum as well, probably because the NAS is a little bit older...

Please post here your experiences - I'll do the same.

I am still pre-3.1 How is 3.1 as compared to 2.3? Stability? Speed etc?

I am guessing POWER should not be an issue? Right? All HDDs pretty much eat similar amounts.

I got the 2TB a while back. I am wondering if it will work with 3TB ones. I hope power is not an issue.
