New CS-406 user w/Cubestation running Firmware Version: 2.0.4 - 3.0382
Home Network on XP PRO.

I was successful adding an old HP DeskJet 932C as a networked printer.

I was not successful getting an even older HP OfficeJet G85 All-in-One to attach to the CS. It sees it, but no test prints to the device were successful. I'd like to use it as my network printer if anyone has any ideas...

Just received my CS-406 yesterday. Plugged my Epson AL C900 and it works fine.

My Canon IP4200 works fine with DS-106j (FW: 0375 & 0426) and Windows XP.

Are you sure that the IP4200 is a PostScript printer? According to Synology Help Center and this post in the USB Print Server forum (as well as the sticky post at the top of the thread list in this forum) only PostScript printers are supported for Mac.

The HP Deskjet 950C is working also - I'm using it with my DS-106e.

From a Windows PC it was running with no problems via standard software.

I then also got it to work from a PPC and an Intel Mac. (OS X)
This needed the "hpijs" installations mentioned in the sticky but after that - no problems.

Rueker reported on 5 December 1006 that the HP Deskjet 960c works fine with a DS-106e.

Not suprisingly, I found that the HP Deskjet 960c also works fine on a DS106j.

My Samsung ML-2010 works fine with my DS-101j.

I can confirm that the Epson Stylus Photo 890 works with the DS-106e.

I have printed from both a PC running XP and a Mac running MacOSX 10.4.9.

To print from the Mac I had no success following the Synology instructions, but connected via Windows Printing and it worked fine.

My Epson Stylus D88 works perfectly with my DS107. As I have only Linux machines, I can confirm this for this OS only, using lpd port.

Hello!

After several trys and testing all different installation methods, I finally succeeded to print out a test page.

That's the proof that it can work!

But unfortunately it only works on one of my 3 PC's
All have Win XP Pro and are up to date, i tried to reinstall printer driver, reboot PC and/or DiskStation and/or printer, but nothing helps...
Of course I've not try to reinstall the OS

Curiously the print orders send by all 3 PC's appear on the usbprinter queing list (i can view this by going on the properties of the network installed printer in the network shares, only if installed via Synology Assistant) but only the print orders from one PC will be print out.

So it works but don't know how i succeeded.
I would be interested by other experiences with this printer if anyone try it?
