Download speed... DS110j

Postby batserra » Wed Aug 18, 2010 8:10 am

Hi,

I have a problem thats very strange with my synology DS110j ,i have a line with 10 Mb ,i tested the line with a page i can download to 8000 mbps and upload to 700 mbps ,so it's normal and good.

But when i connect to the ftp server with my nas ,i can download only 50 kb/s , i dont have restrictions with the ftp server.

So what's wrong? ,any idea to get better speed?

I'm using 3.0 firmware

Greetings Batserra,

Did you enable SSL/TLS connection in the FTP server?
Also, what FTP client was used to upload/download?

Thank you.

Greetings batserra,

One more question - did you enable the jumbo frame?
Please submit the Kernel Log to Synology Online Support, and I believe the technicians may look into the log message to determine the transfer performance through FTP.

The way to submit the Kernel Log is within my signature.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your answer..

Well ,untill now i didn't know what was jumbo frame, and no i didn't enable it ,well i beleive that i have to enable in my router or in my lan card, isn't it?
Also ,i read the link viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11555 (how to send the kernel log) ,and now i have the debug.dat file.

But ,where i have to send it? i look for a email from a synology assistant but i can't find it.

Thanks again for your help
