Change to larger harddrives DS207+, DS210+

Postby svendsen » Tue Jul 27, 2010 9:18 pm

Hello fellow Synology fans.
I have a Syn DS207+ with two WD10EACS 1 TB drives running RAID 1, DSM 2.3
I have bought a Syn DS210+ with two WD20EARS 2 TB drives running JBOD, DSM 2.3
I have copied everything from the DS207 to the DS210.
The idea is that the 1 TB drives are going to be put in the 210 and the 2 TB drives in the 207.
Now my question is:
Can I just switch the disks between the DS's? Or do I have to make some changes to the DSM before this is possible? And is it even possible without loosing all the data...

I hope someone know :)

Best regards
