The UPS unit has been correctly identified by DS209+ and there were no issues so far.

Hello, I'm new to this forum, I wanted to ask if possible, I have a Synology DS409 everything worked wonderfully updated with Fw Dsm2.2-942, but unfortunately I have a Belkin UPS, the UPS DS409 always says not connected (USB). I ask Will there be a firmware update that the DS409 work around this problem, or do I have to buy another UPS. Thanks and Greetings to your wonderful forum.

Hello,

Can someone confirm if the DS210j works fine with APC BACK-UPS CS 350VA (BK350EI)?

Thanks!

I received the UPS, and I am really disappointed, it doesn't work correctly.

The CS350 is recognized by the DS210j, but it can not handle it properly.
For example, the UPS won't turn off after the NAS goes into safe-mode. It remains powered by battery, but when the main power is back, the NAS won't wake up from safe-mode, it needs manual intervension, a restart by the power button.
So, there is no way to use this system remotely (installed in the attic or basement).

I think that this is a driver related issue. I also described the issue to the Synology team, they responded quickly, assuring me that they will look into this. I just hope, that this will not take more than 6 months.

Postby jlcarsil » Tue Jul 20, 2010 11:28 pm

Hello!

I want to buy a small USP (APC are too big) for my new NAS Synology DS210+.

Is the EATON Powerware 3105 compatible with the NAS Synology DS210+? Any sugestions for a compatible small UPS?

Thanks and regards.

I'll stick to APC because its supported. Support is good cos you want auto shutdown and startup communication between the NAS and UPS. You don't need much power for a DS210+ and two drives. A 500va model can provide enough power for half a day of operation!

Cyberpower 850AVR DOES NOT work with the DS410. I get the error NAS "has lost connection to the UPS."

Can anyone confirm the APC BE450g for the DS410? Maybe I can get that and a separate voltage regulator. sigh.
