Hi!

How can I start a vpn tunnel from the shell?
Calling 'pon' with a host from /etc/ppp/peers doesn't work unfortunately

(I get errors like: insmod: can't insert '/lib/modules/slhc.ko': File exists
and
/usr/sbin/pppd: In file /etc/ppp/peers/pptpc_p**********.conf: unrecognized option '[connect]')

Basically, what I want to a achieve is writing a script which starts the vpn client from DSM 4.0 automatically. Any ideas?

I'm gonna necro this threat before I get yelled at for opening a new one.

Anyway having the same problem. connecting a pptp from the web-interface is no problem but when trying it in the cli nothing seems to work.

trying all kinds of variations of

pppd file connect_p1361731989


doesn't do it and looking through the internet the only thing I came across was this german site:http://www.synology-wiki.de/index.php/Grundlegende_Befehle_auf_der_Kommandozeile#VPN_Client that says:

poff -a
pppd file /etc/ppp/peers/connect_*


it's really hard to debug what is going on, since most of the time I get no feedback comment and plog -l doesn't work.

Please somebody help
