Chose the destination shared folder

Postby lpalli » Mon Nov 30, 2009 4:25 pm

I've configured a DS409+ to backup to a DS209j using multiples tasks for different shard folders on the source, but I'll also chose different folders (not on the same volume) on the destination, it is possible ? How ?

No, this is not possible unless you use rsync on the command line.

Same issue here. So there is no way to backup on any other distant synology volume than volume1 ?
Look very limited to me.
Can we edit manualy the synonetbkp.conf for this purpose ? Anyone tested this ? I will give a try.

Thanks

synonetbkp.conf change did not work for me.
I have also tried to use a symlink from volume1 to volume2 with no success.

Any other idea ? Is JBOD a way to solve this ?

You can use RAID0 or JBOD which means that you have only 1 volume but all space available (converting from basic to RAID0 or JBOD is not possible, you have to create an external backup and then remove existin volumnes and create the new one.
