209+II- connection run out

Hello. Being a newbee its probably just me doing something wrong. When I try to upload a big file, ex. 7GB, I get a message saying the connection run out of time?! I then have to log on again and the uploads gone. I´m using a Mac with Leopard and DSM 3.0 1354.
What do I do wrong?
