So it's locally moved from local HDD to DS , ok and then you open it with "shift pressing hold" in Windows and say "open this itunes library".
With my PC switched off. Using audiostation, I use my ipad with the DS app to browse my music on the Diskstation & I stream the music from the Diskstation to an airport express connected to my HiFI.Please confirm that that works without any problems ( as my wife will go nuts as she does not have faith with the technology!).
DS audio offers the audio from files locally on the DS , but not from the itunes library centralized "moved" to the DS , e.g. MP3s stored in /music Folder(share) are DS-audio-available , DS-freaks correct me but i dont think he's able to access the moved iTunes lib via the ds-audio iOS app...
What you can realize is that you can config the DS to be some iTunes library available inside the network but it's fuc..... slow if you access it via iTunes e.g. network-cable based or wifi , it's not that fast, also it sucks that you cant feed your ipod via the iTunes library the DS will offer, but that's some other topic, correct me if im wrong.
