Turn of Re-indexing after adding music?

Postby vanzea » Sun Jun 07, 2009 11:19 am

When adding mp3-files to my NAS, it starts indexing them automatically. As I have a large collection, this takes 4 days! During those 4 days I can't use the multimedia service. How can I turn this off? In previous firmware versions this wasn't the case.

I don't need indexing because I always browse based in file and directory names. With a large collection like mine (> 1 TB) using MP3-tags is of no use, with moren than 10.000 artists.

Any pointers?

If you dont use audio station and you dont need the indexing, then just create another folder like mymusic or whatever and move your mp3 files over there. Indexing is only available for the folders music, video and photo.
