"advanced search" failing

Postby melbourne » Mon Jun 18, 2012 5:30 am

When I use Advanced Search, in File Station, on my DS410 (DSM 4.0-2228), to look for "FTCOMMS.VXD" (or any other file), it only finds some copies of the file.

For example, I use "backup and restore" to do a "local backup" of my PUBLIC share. "Advanced Search" finds the copies of ftcomms.vxd in the backup folder, but does not report the original copies in the PUBLIC share.

I am logged into the NAS as ADMIN, and I can see both the original and the backup files in File Station, but "Advanced Search" does not.

What could be causing this? What can I do that might fix it?

I have the same issue with my DS-111 (dsm 4.0-2228) - searching for a file does not yield any results, even when searching in the very folder where the file is (and shows in FileStation...)
