You don't need that. Drag and drop to/from the Mac or PC window or desktop to/from File Station.

Not seeing local folders either?

Postby Parafly » Thu May 10, 2012 10:16 pm

I'm trying to migrate info from my dns-323 to my ds212. it's brutally slow.

I was thinking part of this might be that i just copied / pasted across the network. Then it occurerd to me that although the DS212 and DSN323 are right next to each other, what is probably really happening is the information is going from the DNS-323 through the Cat6 to my computer, and then back out again to the ds212. was thinking i could drag and drop within file explorer it would work quicker.

I'm on cChrome.

I'm getting 2 - 4MB/s speeds right now. Brutal.

FWIW< when I run NAS Tester or move a few simple files locally, it's 60+ MB/s.

Hi
DSM 4.0

From your File Station, mount your Dlink and then copy your data that way.

This way you can leave your DS and Dlink to stand alone and work all night.

Hi

Your Dlink should support SAMBA, so it should be visible on the DS to mount as a folder, I'm not so familiar with the Dlink, but the DS connect via CIFS, and that is a part of SAMBA.
