DS710+ to my PS#

Postby Matt.1147 » Thu Nov 10, 2011 3:11 am

Hey,

I just got my ds710 set up, and I am trying to hook my ps3 up to it. My ps3 is wirelessly connected to my router while the 710 is hardwired to my router. My PS3 is able to reconize the 710, and open up the folders that I have set up at the moment. But is unable to see the file I have within them.

I too ka quick look in the foroums, is it possible that I need a 3rd party program or file on my 710 for my ps3 to reconize them or did I miss turning something up?

First of all, when you turn Mediaplayer on on your DS, it should make 3 shared folders on your disks.
Video, Music and Photo.

Put your respective moviesfiles in video, musicfiles in music etc.

When you browse for movies on your PS3 choose Movies, diskstation and moviesfolder.
If you are under category Music you cant see moviesfile and vice versa.

PS3 can't see moviefiles that it can't play. Must be mp4, avi, divx etc.

Hope this helps.
