Streaming Freezes on PS3

I have the exact same issue. Video freezes at 39m into a 42m show. I tried copying local to the PS3 and it got truncated to a 39 min file. Also interested if anyone has tried the v4 Beta to see if this is fixed!

I posted in the beta forums for the most part its fixed in the beta as in mkv movies etc work fine as do tv episodes in HD mkv but what does not appear to work is HD rips in mkv that happen to have come from sources online and not direct from TV also known as web rips.

I have DS212+ running DSM4.0-2198 and streaming .mkv files encounters periodic freezing (i'm assuming this is because of the on-the-fly transcoding). I was wondering if there was an update to this or whether an alternative route for streaming needed to be found?

i admint i havent streamed anything recently but are ppl still experiencing freezes?

Hi,
I have almost the same problem with mkv or avi files. I have Sony TV BRAVIA KDL55EX620, Sony blu-ray home theater, WDLive, PS3 and Sony blu-ray player. I have tried to use all these devises with Synology Media Server, so I have next results:
1) KDL55EX620 – video freezes each 2-3 minutes for about 10-20 seconds.
2) PS3 -– video freezes each minute for about 10-20 seconds.
3) Sony blu-ray home theater - video freezes each 1-2 minutes for about 10-20 seconds
4) WDLive - I can start video after the second attempt ( after the first attempt WD loses network connection) and video freezes each 5-10 minutes for about 10-20 seconds
5) Sony blu-ray player does not see any playable files.
So, I would appreciate if someone can help me to resolve this issues with freezing of the streaming.

Same problem with mkv streamed from ds213 to PS3 : total freeze after 8 min. with PS3 error code 80028801...Convert to .vob with mkv2vob seems ok but not really useful...
No flow to my bravia kdlW4750.
A lot of jerks on sft netgem tv (dlna) and freeze after 2h20
