Slow File Browser

Hello

Maybe somebody can help me with this issue.

In my music share I have about 200 folders (sorted by artists) with around 20'000 music files. Each time when I access my music share trought the windows file browser it takes about 10 to 15 seconds until all folders show up. I had an Netgear ReadyNAS before which worked fine with all these folders and files in one share (instant access). I also have a photo folder with about 2000 files and there I have instant access...

Is there any possibility how this could be faster?

Okay, after hours of seaching I found out, that my Norton 360 is slowing down my Windows Explorer. The Norton Antivirus (not the Firewall) must somehow scan all files! The anoying thing is, that it does that every 30 seconds again...

Does somebody have an idea how I can workaround this problem?

I will also post this problem at the Norton Support!
