Will larger size HDDs (ie, 1TB, 1.5TB, 2TB) work with my Synology System?
Because it is frequently asked, here is the reply
New HDDs which are advertised as being released by HDD manufactures, such as the upcoming Seagate 1.5TB drive, or the future 2TB drive, will be tested with Synology systems when the drives become main stream/popular.
Until Synology tests the drives, it compatibility will not be guaranteed.
For a list of HDDs which have been tested by Synology, please look here
==Edit==
Some examples of larger capacity drives which are known to be compatible with the current Synology Series, please refer to below.
Please refer to the COMPATIBILITY LIST for all specific details of each models of drive for specific compatibility and notes for each Synology Disk Station.
