Accessing Synology Website via Xfinity ISP

Postby stadtmkw » Sun Mar 17, 2013 5:19 pm

Is anyone that is on Xfinity in the states having difficulty getting to the Synology Website? I've been unable to access the site for three days however it works fine from other ISPs.
Thanks

I've visited there 2-3 times each day through weekend and it was up, think it may be local or on route for you.
DS111 (DSM 5.0) and DS109 (DSM 4.2), both connected to gigabit ethernet and wireless lan.

AT&T Uverse in Houston, Texas won't connect. Neither will Cox cable in Cleveland, Ohio connect. I hope someone from Synology will look into this.

No access for several days from Road Runner in west Ohio. I think it is a DNS issue, not a web server problem.

I live in the midwest (North Dakota) and I am having the same problems. I guess its not limited to the coast. I also tried just using the synology.com ip number with no luck. I was hoping to do some more research between two of the 4 bay units, but no luck for the entire weekend.

Is http://www.synology.com/support down for everyone?

Postby bawl » Sun Mar 31, 2013 12:37 pm

I've been trying to access http://www.synology.com/support/ for two or three days now, and i just seem to get a dead page, that won't load, not even a 404, 500 or what ever.

I find it odd, and can't even tell Synology via http://www.synology.com/support/inquiry_form.php as that site is also down...

The mainpage as well as the forums are working, it's apparently only the support-section, that seems down.

Anyone else experiencing the same, or is it a problem on my end?

No problem to access those pages from here.
Considering that you can access the main website, have you tried with a different browser or on a different computer? Perhaps it's a browser issue with javascript, etc.

Well apparently the thread got merged...

Anywho... My problem is apparently still in effect, however with the links you have provided http://www.synology.com/support/knowled ... p?lang=enu it works.

If I just punch in http://www.synology.com/support/knowledge_base.php then my browser/Synology redirects/defaults me to http://www.synology.com/support/knowled ... p?lang=dan which ends up empty...

I tried to substitute the lang=dan with lang=en previously, but seem to have forgotten the "u" at the end.

I see that my browser was set to serve me the pages in Danish, if available, and it would appear that their Danish-section is down then.

Thx for your help guys.
