Mod: Postfix relay mail + changing port

Postby Pakku » Mon Mar 30, 2009 8:50 pm

Hi,

I Have a DS-106j and I wanted to use it as an e-mail server to relay all SMTP traffic to my ISP SMTP server. And since my outgoing port 25 is blocked I Would like to listen the e-mail server on a different port than 25.

So now we know the case, I would like to redirect you to my blog, cause I was finaly able to manage this all to getting worked and I would love to share it with you. It toke me days, cause my ISP's SMTP-server needs authorisation, and not all forums and stuff tell you how to do this. Good luck and leave a message :D

And what does it help if you run your mailserver on port 26? No client in the world would try to send an email to a smtp Server on port 26
