Keeping track of all you passwords is getting harder every day, I use LassPass to aid me with this task. But the use of LassPass and similar online services where "your" very sensitive private data is stored at a centralized place is a prime target for hackers to gain access to that data.
No matter how advanced and complex their security may be to encrypt your data and I can only hope its pretty darn good, a hacker at some point might get lucky and will have access to a gold mine worth of sensitive information. So I'm considering not using these online password store services, but the problem is, there so extremely handy to have.
Could a Synology NAS take on this role of secure password fault that you can access from online and auto complete password forms with.
Its a lot less rewarding for a hacker to crack a single users NAS and gain access to password of may be only a hand full of users, compared to attempting to hack in to a bigger company that has more than thousandths registered users.
Did some searching if this has been asked for already or if there is a possible package/application out there already that could perform this function on a Synology NAS, I could not find anything. Would there be a topic or even better a solution, if you have a link, that would be great.
