SELECT ALL missing from file browser

Postby jekyll » Sun Jan 02, 2011 4:35 pm

I guess nobody has had this problem as yet, hence never felt the need to address it.

Over Christmas i grabbed a file which contained around 600 files each.
I then needed the second part of these files which also had around anohter 540 files.
I wanted to move them by 'selecting them all in the current view' of file browser thn move them to a subfolder of a shared folder.

However to my 'horror' i found no select all, ctrl & A also didn't solve the problem.
The task took a silly amount of time more than it should have done if we had this facility.

@Synology, Has this not requested before to the development team?

Regards

Phill

Select 1st file (left mouse click); then Page down (x) or End; and then shift Select doesn't work either?
(Ctrl-A would be nicer)

I do that, It's slow and horrible. i use a DS410, have 300 files & folders per page.
All services enabled, 5 cams in operation 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
It's overloaded in many areas and only 9 months old.

Come on Synology, CTRL & A or a nice little 'select all' in the action tab ;)

Over a year later this has yet to be implemented.

This is especially needed when copying huge amounts of data from USB to the RAID. Especially on USB2 that is a time-consuming process, and it is annoying to have to keep an eye on when the first 300 files has finished copying, in order to start the next 300 files etc.
