Re: SABnzbdPlus 0.4.2 on PowerPC DS-206e

Very nice tutorial!! I have little Linux experience but it was a piece of cake.

I used it to install SABnzbd+ 0.4.2 on my 206e.
Firmware versie DSM 2.0-0640

One little thing a had to do besides the above was:
> ipkg remove py-cheetah

before I could:
> ipkg install py25-cheetah

Thanks!

Installed SABnzbdPlus 0.4.2 using the guide

Postby biggo » Thu Aug 21, 2008 5:33 pm

First of all, thanks for a great tutorial!

I can't however get SSL working - I think something needs to be installed first.
If i try to run SABNzbd without the -d parameter I see the following:

Code: Select all
pyOpenSSL... NOT found - try apt-get install python-pyopenssl (SSL is optional)
:?

I'm not quite sure how to install pyopenssl - any suggestions?

Best regards.

sabnzbdplus suggests unrar, unzip, py25-feedparser, py25-openssl
So you can try "ipkg install py25-openssl", the feedparser step can also be simplified, since py25-feedparser ipk is in the optware feed.

I tried to follow the step by step from this post and I got twice my system partition corrupted and I have to force install the synology_ppc824x_207_0640.pat file
I am not familiar with Linux commands so please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong ??

here is the telnet log

What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:

N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions (if diff is installed)
The default action is to keep your current version.

Also the IPkg is not working and it looks like the DD is not connected to the net, but download manager does work and download files

here is the log:
