Performance issues with NFS shares since 2219

Hi,

since I upgraded to 2219, my NFS share with TV recordings which is accessed by a streaming box suffers from severe performance issues. Whereas it had never before been difficult to stream even high quality movies, they are now stuttering.

I first checked my WiFi, but the signal is strong as ever. I also remember that I've had exactly these symptoms twice already after installing DSM betas (and then I don't complain). Both times this bug was resolved when in the stable versions. Unfortunately I cannot remember which betas were affected.

Is there anyone else suffering from low NFS performance? Is this a known bug? Is there an easy way to downgrade?

You are not alone, prior to this release i was able to stream videos on the DS509+ and DS1511+ units we have without delay or pause, now we are seeing delays, pauses, and even disconnections, if i knew this was going to be the result of upgrading, i would have never upgraded, i am now wishing i could downgrade back to what i had before...

good to know I'm not alone. I think I'll open a support ticket next week, maybe you could do that too. Hopefully everything will be back to normal in the next build...

Well, I have a DS1010 with an NFS share for some VMware machines and have no performance problem at all since the upgrade to 2219. Everything still runs fine and smooth.

I haved noticed file access perfromance issues as well with the DS211 and DS411 since upgrading to 2219.

Accesing Quicken files on the NAS takes up to 3 times longer (45 secs to 145 seconds) since the 2219 update.

Synology - Please fix urgently or at least give users a way tpo fallback to the last version that worked.

Anyone logged a support ticket for this?

My DS1511+ has halved its transfer rate High 60 mb/s to high 20 mb/s, since the update, VIA AFP and FTP, assuming SMB also, and i see another guys yesterday said he was having issues via SMB going from 40 - 1mb/s

My NFS service has sucked since upgrading...i'm at 2228 now and still no luck. I'm using my DS1511+ with VMware -- had to change back to iSCSI datastores as a work-around. PLEASE FIX!!!

Honestly...i was discouraged from opening a support request after reading several other posts. I didn't need someone telling me it's a network issue.

I have downgraded back to DSM3.2 and all is well...seeing 120+ MBps again.
