I have installed the transmission package ( from synocommninity) on my new DS 1512+ . Before doing it, I have created shared folder "tranmsission" and user "trasmission" ( with R/W rights on the transmission folder). After that, I have created "download" and "watchfolder" folders under the trasmissioon share. During the installation, when asked about destinations, I have used the full paths:/volumes1/trasmission/dowload and /volume1/trasmission/watchfolder. The packaged was successfully installed but I can't run it ? When I try to run it, a message "failded to run the package service" appears ?
Did I do something wrong during the installation ? And can somebody help me to solve the problem ?

Delete the user & permissions you created. The user will be created by the package, with proper group permissions. Then reinstall package

PS: In your download folder path, there is a "S" in /volumeS1/ while there should not be

There MIGHT be an issue while upgrading package on DSM 4.2beta, so please, do not update yet

Bug has been confirmed : the package center needs the dependencies to be in status "running" to update package

And since Python's status is set to "not running" by default, it will generate huge issues so ... :

DO NOT UPDATE PACKAGES UNDER DSM 4.2 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Could synocommunity be able to provide a package for an usb over ip solution ?
It would be cool to be able to attach any usb pheriperal to the nas and be able to connect to it with some software over any remote computer.
The problem is i don't think alot of this sort of Linux project exist and can ge tported to the syno.

Out from source, but SABnzbd 0.7.9 isn't available on the SynoCommunity repo, is it?

When I go to package center and refresh, there are no updates available and my SABnzbd version is 0.7.7-6.

Yes, source was available 3 days before. So do not expect a package the next day, even more during holiday season

Packages are made out of free time, by people working besides doing packages

Just stop asking when packages will be available, the answer will always be "as soon as it's finished"

OK Excuse me. New to Syno. No problem, didn't know it was a manual process to create new packages.
