Attempted Hack?

Postby sweeneyj » Sun Jul 15, 2012 4:49 pm

Today I looked at my connection log to check to see if anyone had loaded new photos to my PhotoStation. I saw that today an IP address (210.51.59.83) attempted to login to my Synology server hundreds of times via FTP using the Admin username. I assume this was an attempted hack as the address is from China. Any thoughts on what I can do to prevent this or suggestions to disuade such attempts in the future?
