CPU 100%

Postby KilvaerNAS » Mon Apr 23, 2012 7:59 am

Is it bad that the CPU on my DS411j is running at 100% almost all the time? And also, how often should i reboot my server?

Hi

Open Resource monitor, and left click with mouse on the CPU graph, then check what services you have running and which is using your CPU power.

The discussion about how often you should restart your DS, has many different opinions.

As I see it, you should never reboot your DS, I my self never reboot my DS, only when I update my DSM, and I have no problems with my DS it is running smooth.

As I see it, it is the restart and reboot that tear on a pc system.
Regards Michael

Sweet! I just turned it off. But now there's another one. It's called Syslog-ng. I dont use the "Syslog" App. Is it something else? Help is very much appreciated!
