constant network dropouts

Postby arden » Mon Mar 05, 2012 8:43 pm

Hey,

I've just got a DS2411+ and find that the network will constantly drop for about 30 seconds every hour or so, sometimes 30 mins. I've only ever noticed it when moving files too and from the unit.

It's really annoying considering it can't seem to do what it's designed for. I have minimal services running on the unit, I even upgraded to the 4.0 beta to see if this would address the issue.

The logging within the system is a joke and does not help at all as to trying to see where the issue is.

It drops when I either access it either by its host name or ip address.

Anyone else having this issue?

Clients are windows 7 64x, on gig lan, accessing via smb.

Hi

I'm experiencing the exact same thing on my DS211J. The dropouts only happens on my desktop connected with lan, laptop connected with wifi works fine.
If i, disable/enable my networkcard it works again for a short while.

I hope somebody can help with this problem.

System is win7 64x

Best regards
troels

This has stopped a while now for me, not sure of the root cause but there have been a few updates since and think whatever it was it's gone now ;)
