I want to in part use my DS211 as a backup system for my PC's. My backup software runs multiple tasks to backup various defined directories. I'm getting sharing violations because I believe the backup software logs in for each task and is going over some limit placed inside the Synology box. Any way around this issue and am I correct that there is a limit? I have 5 tasks and of course this runs on the same PC.
I know I could create a username for each task, but don't really want to go through that craziness.
Thanks,
Brad

A sharing violation happens most of the time when 2 or more processes want to use the same object; are you 100% sure your tasks are not overlapping?
Some people spent a lot of time writing the Help files, use them!
