Did the update. Worked just fine..

After a few python hangs.. And reboot. I can't login in any more..

I get this: "System is upgrading. Please log in later"

Telnet works fino.

Any ideas ??

I had this problem too. Tech support told me to backup my data and "hardreset" my NAS.

I wasn't willing to do that so I did some digging around in the dsm console.

If you have telnet or ssh access try the following:

Code: Select all
Diskstation> synoupgrade --download

Code: Select all
Diskstation> synoupgrade --start

I'm seeing the same problem. Although mine was after an overheat crash rather than a python related crash.

After doing a synoupgrade --download and --start via the command line, which completed successfully, the same thing still happens. Can't get on via the web interface. Even after a reboot.

Weirdly, command line and samba connections still work. It's just the DSM software that's rejecting logins. Not quite sure how to proceed. I guess I might leave it off for a while, see if the drives cooling down fixes it.

Hello, I have just updated my 210J and message showed too 'please wait, system is upgrading'. But I realized it might take a while before both HDD are done and left the house. Just returned after almost 3 hours and now everything seems to work fine and I can login as usual.. So be patience...;-)

Ok... so count me in as well.

I CAN SSH into the DS, but when I run the "synoupgrade --download" command, at the end it says

Code: Select all
szBuf = Cannot write to `DSM_DS1511+_3827.pat' (No space left on device).

synoupgrade.cpp:1905 NO spcae to download /volume1/@autoupdate/DSM_DS1511+_3827.pat
ps: error while loading shared libraries: libproc-3.2.8.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
synoupgrade.cpp:2080 Disk has no enough space when downloading
synoupgrade.cpp:2152 Get download progress Fail
synoupgrade.cpp:2213 Download Fail
size of szDsmMsg = 214
size of szSysCmd = 86
size of szDsmCmd = 296
synoupgrade.cpp:2256 Stop Download
synoupgrade.cpp:2328 Failed to download dsm
synoupgrade.cpp:2787 Download New DSM Fail.
Ok.. so I delete about 30Gigs from storage, and STILL get the same message. Is there a command I can use via SSH to force it to empty all the recycle bins, since I can't do this thru the web GUI?
