Hi. Weird thing happened. I was logged into ssh as root, setting up the openssl.cfg file in order to have a private-signed certificate. After creating the cfg file, all openssh functions began to error out. I googled and saw that it might be related to the beta vpn package I installed, so went to login to webamin as admin in order to make a change or disable the vpn app, but it wouldn't recognize my admin password. The admin password as Root in Putty still worked, though.
After several attempts, I hit the reset button till the first beep, then, via ds assistant, tried again with the default blank password. Still no go. I tried the reset two more times, then shut down the unit and restarted it. Still no love. Now I cannot even get in as root. Probably because the reset disabled ssh?
I can, however, still login to the shares via Windows as a user. Not admin, just by my user name.
Any ideas without doing a full firmware reinstall? (if that will even work at this point)
This is a two day old ds1511+.
Thanks.
