DS File AudioBook Issues & Bugs!!!

Hi,

I use DS File to navigate and download from my iTunes Audiobooks folder on my Synology to my iPhone.

These Audiobooks are in .m4b format.

The DS File application will play the files but the interface to play the audiobook files is HORRIBLE. The play button is too small and it becomes a pause button which is also too small. It doesn't support chapters and ultimately it should just work just like the Music app.

So I don't really care now that the file is on my iPhone so I click the Open With option but NONE of the programs that I have on my phone for playing Audiobooks appears. At a minimum the Music app should appear but I have other Audiobook programs as well such as Audiobook & Podcast Player by Contity Consulting as well as a half dozen others that I've tried.

I would of course ask that DS Audio be one of the programs to play my Audiobook but DS Audio doesn't play .m4b files!

Since .m4b is now probably the largest format out there for Audiobooks do you think you could add support for it in DS Audio? Especially since for some crazy reason you have support in DS File but NOT DS Audio?

Separately, could you please fix the issue of me not being able to choose any other Audiobook player including the Music app from DS File?

I guess your .m4b files are not "optimized for streaming"

I agree this is a MAJOR limitation of DS File, and frankly it's unusable for the purpose of audiobooks. To the previous responder regarding whether the book is optimized for streaming, that's not the point. I should be able to login to my Nas with DS File, point to an M4B file, download it and then use any player on my iPhone to play them back. The fact that the only way to play it is in the DS File app itself, as I said, makes it unusable for audiobooks.

• The reason you can't open songs in the music app is because Apple would never allow it. They won't give up making people use itunes...
• If you want an app that you can import music into... get the app "Free Music Download". I'm not sure about that .m4b format, but it seems to play all the standard ones... you can "open in..." it from DS file.
