Blog Access Control

Postby RedSeal » Wed Aug 01, 2012 5:02 pm

Hi,

Is there any way to permission the blog so that users must login to see content. By default going to

myserver.com/blog

Displays the blog and all its contents. I'd like it to give a login screen here so the user has to login to see the blog i.e. by default access is restricted.

DS 211j, PhotoStation 5, DSM 4

Thanks!

First, read this: http://forum.synology.com/wiki/index.ph ... s_controls
Location for the .htaccess file: /volume1/@appstore/PhotoStation/photo/blog
(I know this information is not enough for a 1st time poster, without any knowledge about Linux / Apache, but AFAIK, this is the only way to restrict access to the Photostation blog.)
DS412+. 1x WD20EFRX + 3x HD204UI, SHR (RAID5). DSM 4.2-3211.
DS210j. 2x HD203WI, RAID1. DSM 4.2-3211.
Router Netgear WNDR3700. Switch TP-Link TL-SG1008D. AcRyan Mini v1. UPS APC BE700G-GR. Ipcam Edimax IC-3010.

Thanks, that worked perfectly, cheers!

(Fortunately i've got plenty of Linux under my belt so following the instructions was pretty simple, might be some trial and error for a beginner!)
