After trolling through the forum unsuccessfully for a resolution to this issue, I'm bumping the thread to see if someone might have some advice for me as I'm having the same issue with Photo Station 5.
I have a 212J running DSM 4.0-2233 in a simple home configuration. Upon install and port forwarding in my router, everything was working, including Photo Station 5. More specifically, I could access Photo Station both through the DSM homepage by clicking the Photo Station icon; and also directly by URL/photo.
However, now that I have configured to use a dynamic domain name server, and installed a Certificate, I can only access Photo Station via URL/photo. I can no longer access Photo Station through the DSM homepage by clicking the Photo Station icon. After clicking, a new browser tab opens, and I get the browser error, "could not connect to MYSUBDOMAIN.ddns.net. It is important to note that when I click the Photo Station icon, the new tab attempts to open the following address:
http://MYSUBDOMAIN.ddns.net/photo/login ... MYUSERNAMEAs stated above, this fails. However, when I manually change the protocol to "https," in the address bar (after the previous failure to connect) a connection is made to Photo Station. I'm hoping I'm missing something really simple. In other words, if the Photo Station icon would open to "https" instead of "http," I don't think I would have any issues. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
