HASP package

Postby syno_user » Tue Nov 23, 2010 8:31 pm

Why doesnt support for example DS409+ or other models, why only http://www.synology.com/enu/support/releaseNote/HASP.php? It cant be so big problem port it for another processor. HASP development team has lot of versions of their drivers+licence manager.

Thanks for reply

Its basically a DRM for software you write.
More for business purposes anyways.

It seems that Aladdin the original software maker was bought by Safenet.

Every DS has it under packages but it redirects to the FAQ. Whats up with that? They should only put it in the DS that they support, not every DS!

Does or can the HASP package work with a license USB dongle?

You simply need HASP NET key which comes with your protected application, else you cant use it. With local HASK key it doesnt work.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by a HASP NET key. I have a protected application that uses a USB dongle. A license Service (Aladdin), runs on a server that manages usage of licenses for connected clients.

HASP NET key is simply type of the key by Alladin, they offer local and network keys. This package (License manager) works only with network HASP keys.
It looks you have network type of the key ;)
