Applications Access Issues on user's Account (DS207+)

Hello,

I have yesterday upgraded the last firmware (DSM 3.0.1334) available for my DS207+ :

I use 3 others accounts and some applications are'nt available on the users's account althought privileges are correctly set :
With the previous firmware (DSM 2.3.1157), it worked properly.

Normaly the Photo Station, Audio Station, Mail Station and Squeeze Center applications must be available for my all User's Account.
When I'm logged with a user account :
- Only Audio Station is available (logged from a Windows XP PC)
- Only Photo Station is available (logged from an ARCHOS -> Android 1.6 OS base Internet Tablet (In Mobile Edition Mode))
- Only Audio Station is available (logged from an ARCHOS -> Android 1.6 OS base Internet Tablet (In Desktop Edition Mode))

I think there is bug with the access applications. It's also very strange that the only application that is available is different from a PC or an Android Tablet connection.

Thanks to solve this problem in a next Firmware upgrade !

You have also FTP if enabled and FileStation if enabled! (and maybe DownloadStation if enabled - I don't use that))
PhotoStation has allways had its own user-table with definitions of see-able folders (except admin) and login.
I have SqueezeCenter with BOOM and DUET and there has never been a login here (afaik)!

If I remember good in DSM 2.3-xxxx, some applications are visible at the login Screen (like Squeeze Center, Audio Station, etc.) and are accessible without Login Access.

But my problem is that now with DSM 3.0-1334/1337, at the login Screen there is nothing else the login dialog box.
All Applications are only visible after be logged.
When I'm logged in Admin Mode I have all access that is normal, but when I'm logged with an user account, althought I have a correct privilege applications setting, the application icones aren't visibled.

How Solve this problem ?

If you push the blue arrow top left you have the control-box with the enabled applications, which you can pull out on the window. The other applications like FileStation, FTP, Audio, Surveillance and SqueezeCenter should be call usib the web-interface. As I have seen until now, the Audio and Surveillance is in the box (if enabled) and can be put on the windows.

The best way should be to join you "Print Screen" jpg files but I don't know how to do this on this forum.

When I'm logged with an user account, there is only 4 icones available in the control box :
- File Navigator
- Personal Setting
- DSM Help
- Audio Station

When I'm logged with the admin account, there is all icones available in the control box displayed on 2 pages (12 on the first page and 5 on the second page) :

1) on the first Page :
- Control Panel
- File Navigator
- Storage Management
- Backup and Restore
- Package Management
- EZ-Internet
- Resource Monitor
- System Infos
- Personal Setting
- DSM Help
- QuickStart
- Audio Station

2) on the second Page :
- Photo Station
- Web Station
- Mail Station
- Squeeze Center
- PhpMyAdmin

Rem. This is a personal translating words (It's displayed in French on my DS207+)

It's seems like the applications displayed in the 2nd page are ommited to take in charge for user's account
Or is it a coincidence ?

I have a web-page on my DS509+ and in a sub-folder to this, I save the print-screens and the link to it in this forum would
like something as http://axj.dk/zzDocs/filename.jpg. When this link is surrounded by the img-pair, the image is seen.

The admins screen look like yours, but I have 12 on page 1 and 10 on page 2. I have some non-Synology packages installed and I don't have the phpMyAdmin - I think, that's because I installed phpMyAdmin before it became a Synology-product.

As I see my users pages, this start-screen reflects what application the actual user has right to use plus DSM-Help, Personal Settings and FilBrowser, which I real don't understand. I have a user, which only has right to Audio, but the FilBrowser looks like this picture where it can be seen, that this user can see all other users home-directories and copy files from those to his own folder. Is sounds not right !

Hello,

I have previously sended information to the support team, they study my case for improvement in a later firmware upgrade.
I have just installed the last Firmware DSM v3.0-1354 (2010-10-23) but this version seems not include a correction for this problem.
I hope in a next firmware version !
