i have sold my ds212j, someone will come for it today. there is still a 500gb hdd full of data in it. how do i recover the data? because i think it is only readable in the diskstation because of the filesystem.
thanks in advance
im not sure if i double posted, because i just posted a topic and i didnt see it so i posted it again.
In that case, still very late to think about thzt, your only otion is to hook it up to a Linux machne to retrieve the data. That, ot ask a friend or so to borrow a USB disk. Guess you are running out of time ....
Some people spent a lot of time writing the Help files, use them!
I'm in a similar situation as OP: I have a drive that used to be in my DS210j, but now I need to access the data on it without the DiskStation. Linux sees 3 partitions with ext3, and the big one as 'RAW'. I should mention that there was a single volume on this HDD, no RAID, JBOD or SHR.
So, how do I read contents of this disk?
