DS212+ and Philips 37PFL7605H/12

I have a Philips 37PFL7605H/12 connected to my wired network.
I was looking to buy a DS212+ for multimedia streaming.
does anyone have experience with compatibility of synology devices and Philips?

Philips are terrible media players stick with a PC running Serviio/Mezzmo that can transcode the video otherwise you will regret it. The NAS cannot transcode video so all the problems with Philips media player will come to the surface.

If you really want a NAS I strongly advise you also get a proper media player like a WDTV Live or Boxee Box to play media from the NAS.
