backup issue? (in 4.0)

Can someone help...

I've got a 212+ that will back up "once" to anything I've formatted w/ext4 with room to spare...

But the sync afterwards - when I either back up immediately or on a schedule - I get failure "check log" message

Checking the log isn't helpful as it varies with different messages-none with any substance for action.

Why does it work initially and not afterwards? Am I missing something?

I have almost the same problem. I get the message "Backup Volume not available"
I thing it is some kind of Bonjour problem because I can connect to the Diskstation using afp and the IP without any problem.

I've contacted the support two days ago and hope they can help me.
