How expand iSCSI LUN drives?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me?

I'm was wondering if it's possible to create a iSCSI LUN of 1TB and then later to expand it to 16TB at a later date? I've been tinkering with a demo DS1511+ and everytime I go to increase the LUN drive it creates a new partition on the server.

Am I doing this correctly?

Or should I be creating an initial iSCSI LUN drive to be 16TB and add in the additional hard drives on the fly when I know I'm hitting the limits?

Also does anyone know if there are performance issues when you get beyong the 4TB limit? Is Windows Server 2003 limited to a maximum hard drive partition?
