Yes, me, mine is 42V10. Works like a charm with beta firmware.

Saluditos,

Ferrán.

Do you use subtitles, if yes, do you get them to work?
Thanks! GunZ.

No, sorry...

Well, why not just re-apply for the Beta program to get the mail again?

Could it be that:
Content-Type: application/x-srt

I can't find the mime-type for srt in /usr/syno/etc/mimetypes.txt

maybe that's missing for the tv to regognize subtitles?

I also have a panasonic v10, when using Twonky only the .avi file is listed and tv has the option to display subs. When using Synology both the avi and srt are listed, but as mentioned tv say no subtitles. So TV has the capability to show subs, but not through Synology, yet. How can I make a request to the dev team. This is my first post

Here i posted an excerpt of the dlna-server of synology when trying to play a movie with srt subtitles. Its a Samsung TV but the problems seem similar. Maybe someone with more inside knowledge could compare the log with the twonky log.

I guess the problem is, that the synology indexer gives the movie and the srt different names like 93.srt und 92.mp4 where twonky seems to recognize the subtitles and gives them the same name except the srt/mp4 and the tvs rely on identical names.
Could it be that?

I ended up installing TwonkyMedia on my Synology, subtitles seem to work now. I decided not to replace my other TV for a DLNA one but bought a popcorn hour instead - works way better!

My conclusion is that for both Synology and Panasonic proper subtitle support is not high on their priority list; hence not on the roadmap.

In a reply to me the DLNA org has assured me they are aware of the importance for non-US viewers and are putting subtitle support on their roadmap to be part of the DLNA standard. Guess that's the only way to get the various manufacturers aligned.

Enjoy, Gunz.

The funny thing is, that after the last firmware update (both Samsung and Synology) my Samsung LCD display subtitles.
