Forcing DS1512+ to boot gigabit ethernet

Postby jcsepm » Thu Jun 21, 2012 5:24 am

Is this possible?

I just got my new DS1512+ up and running using 3 x 2TB Seagate ST2000DM001 drives and it is sitting behind a D-Link DIR-655 router and a Netgear 10/100/1000 switch. The switch confirms that both my desktop LAN and router LAN are at gigabit speeds; however the DS1512+ is only coming up 10/100. I have tried rebooting, powering down / restart, disconnect/reconnect network cable while powered on, and swapping LAN 1 / 2 ports, and am fresh out of ideas for how to get this to boot in gigabit mode. I've tried searching these boards and the internet but nothing comes up.

BTW, I have had similar problems in the past with its predecessor, a USR8700 and I was able to get that to boot gigabit by cycling the power (most of the times).

I have submitted a service ticket, but thought I'd post something here too.
