Remote Access won't work from within Intranet

Postby Jrobertiko » Mon Apr 30, 2012 8:31 pm

Hi everyone,
My DS212 is connected at home through a router. I have enabled WebDav, configured port forwarding on my router and created a synology provided DDNS. Everything seems to work ok if I access my NAS from any public network (computer or smartphone), but whenever I attempt to access DiskStation from my office intranet I get connection timeout. I even had a friend of mine test my DDNS url at her school intranet and it didn't work either. :(

Does anyone know why this happens? :?: Am I missing something in the configuration? The NAS firewall is currently turned off.
Please help!!!!

Hi

My best guess is that your router don't support loopback, and thereby you cant access your DS from within your intranet with a domain name, but only the internal IP address.
