I have purchased a Synology DS212 2-bay diskstation. I am currently running DSM 4.0-2166, which is the latest, beta version of the DSM software. The disk station is connected to a SMCD3GNV router provided by my ISP, Comcast.
I have a no-ip.org username and hostname setup. When I check the enable DDNS support checked, with appropriate fields filled in, I get a "Normal" status. Furthermore, I am able to get to my diskstation from a network outside my home private network.
However, I am unable to go to the no-ip.org host from within the private network. Can someone please help out with any suggestions?
