Multiple NAS

Postby Dirgen » Thu Jan 12, 2012 3:37 pm

I recently got a USB Station 2 to supplement a DS410j for my home. I managed to install the USB Station 2 without any problem. Both Synology units are attached to a single Buffalo router and I can access both units from any computer within the same LAN. However I realized that I cannot access both Synology products remotely.

I think that the problem is that both units use the same default port (ie 5000)for remote access. Is there a way around this?

You should set the router to port forward remote port 5007(for example) to port 5000 on the other DS and then access it through your.domain.something:5007.
