how firewall undo / unblock me - RESOLVED!

Postby testing123 » Wed Feb 24, 2010 7:07 pm

Yes I know , don't do things if you are sleeping...

What I did was.
I have a domainname and made a A record that points to my private ADSL routermodem IP.
In the routermodem I forward port 80 and 5000 to my NAS 192.168.1.12

Then I thought "now the whole world can't access my disk !" so I did setup the firewall...

First I add
- 1. private ADSL @ home IP [access all]
- 2. a other ADSL @ work IP [access all]
- 3. my router @ home IP [access all] 192.168.1.1
- then the last filter [deny all]
[SAVE]

As you can see I forget (and maybe more ?):
- 4. my pc @ home IP [access all]
- 5. the domainname server IP [access all]
- 6. the NAS self @ home IP [access all] 192.168.1.12

Now I can't access it any more, what to do ?
(to make it worse, i disabled SSH because I din't use it)

SPECS:
DS 207+
Synology DiskStation Manager 2.3-1118

Thanks very much !

Hello @testing123,

To disable the firewall, you will need to perform a soft reset. To do so, please use a ballpoint pen or straightened paperclip to depress and hold the recessed reset button on the rear of the server for about 4 seconds (until the server beeps once) then release.

This will:
1. To restore "admin" account to default value.
2. To reset IP, DNS, gateway, and other net interfaces to DHCP
3. To reset UI managment 5000/5001
4. To reset PPPoE
5. To disable AutoBlock
6. To disable link aggregation
7. To disable firewall rules

pfew many thanks.

For the record is this then oke:

- 1. private ADSL @ home IP [access all]
- 2. a other ADSL @ work IP [access all]

- 3. my router @ home IP [access all] 192.168.1.1

- 4. my pc @ home IP [access all] 192.168.1.10
[- 5. my domainname server IP [access all] ? think not]
- 6. the NAS self @ home IP [access all] 192.168.1.12
- then the last filter [deny all]
[SAVE]

In others words,
I want that my pc, and a ADSL ip get the access the rest not.
I will try that soft reset now.
