Enabling access to Photo Station but NOT Web Station.

Postby Pawlu » Sun Sep 13, 2009 1:43 pm

Hi,

I have set up photo station to work over a non standard port as inbound port 80 is blocked by my isp, I have opened this port on my firewall inbound rules and I am using port 80 redirection on my domain name from No-IP. All is fine, however I want to make sure that remotely the Webstation sites are not accessible.

The question is, how can I achieve access to Photostation without granting access to Webstation sites over the same port:

"In addition to the default port number 80, you can add another port for the use of Photo Station 3 and Web Station.
Enter the port number:"

I do not want people who can remotely view pictures have access to my Webstation sites as this is a security issue for me, my webstation sites include phpmyadmin, webdatabases, and more which are only for internal use.

Please advice.

Thank you.

Hi,

I use firmware 2.2-0942. With the firewall rules I can block ports either on WAN and/or LAN seperatly.
That should do the trick.

Best regards,
